Now that the holidays have finally come to a close, I can finally do some sharing. For Christmas, one of my goals was to include some local gifts, and I'd like to think my mission was accomplished.
Besides gifting them, I thought I would share these fabulous local companies so check them out below:

The bulk of the gift to my Grandmother was this Nova Box.
Nova Box is essentially this gorgeous gift box, that the Nova Box company releases every season that is filled with all these gorgeous items from local Nova Scotia businesses and craftsmen that really highlight the local spirit.
I found them at Christmas at the forum, where they let me customize and put together my own box for the holidays. Besides the items, they gave me the stamped Nova Box, card, string and gift tag to go with it.

I chose a buoy ornament from Fundy Treasures, a plaid scarf from My Home Apparel, and this gorgeous tree candle holder! I can't track down who made it though, so if anyone knows, please let me know!
While at the Truro Farmer's Market I also found these GORGEOUS handmade earrings by Heatherbelle's Beads to add to the box. They were a steal at $4 a pair, and I maaaay have got a pair for myself.

For my brother Regan, I found his gift totally by accident at Christmas at the Forum as well. Bite the Bullet is a local company in New Brunswick that recycles bullet shells into jewelry. They have a pretty amazing range of things for men, and women, and they told us they make custom work and will also buy spent shells from people to use in their jewelry.
I ended up snagging him these cool studs!

Of course, I needed to get some local brewery beers for my boyfriend, Thomas. As someone who doesn't speak beer whatsoever, I ended up ruining the surprise on this one and taking him with me so he could just pick out his own.
We picked up some Marigold, a blonde ale from Sober Island Brewery, which is local to my hometown of Sheet Harbour. Although, we picked them up at the Truro Farmers Market.
Then he got some of his favourite blueberry beer from Salty Dog right at their shop in Truro.
